Overview

Provide 2nd line technical support remotely via Telephone, Instant Messaging and in person ensuring all calls are logged with the Helpdesk. Provide technical support for all Level 2 Manufacturing and Laboratory Systems including Computer System Validation activities as required. Maintain and support all IT hardware and software on the SA Operations Gqeberha site. Ensure security controls are in place on all Endpoints. Involvement as required in the delivery of key strategic projects and work streams to enable the IT & Digital team to achieve department objectives. Aid the development of 1st Line Helpdesk Technicians.

Responsibilities

Operational Activities
 

• Maintain and provide technical hardware support and ensure capability, data integrity, capacity efficiencies, stability and full functionality for all IT Hardware (excl. Servers).

• Ensure uptime of all devices and applications on the network, all incidents, requests and problems, recorded and Change Controls processed for validated system changes

• Provide 2nd line technical support remotely via Telephone, Instant Messaging and in person ensuring all calls are logged with the Helpdesk.

• Assist with the maintenance and control of all IT assets by means of updating assets on the asset register and all asset movement recorded.

• Assist with the monitoring of the site IT infrastructure, always ensuring full connectivity.

• Monitor and maintain security on all Endpoints, and remediate as necessary.

• Assist IT & Digital Management to ensure validated status of IT Systems, Facilities and Level 2 Engineering and Laboratory Systems are maintained.

• Carry out any duty or requirement imposed on the company by the OHS Act and in accordance with SHE priorities

• Report any unsafe or unhealthy situations to SHE representative or Line Manager

• Report any incident to the SHE representative or Line Manager which may affect your health or cause injury

GMP

• Complete all records and reports timeously and accurately as described in the relevant SOP’s, protocols and associated documentation.

• Comply with GMP/GLP requirements as outlined by company SOP’s and written instructions in all tasks and activities
