IT Systems Administrator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of single operating system software and hardware and associated utility software architectures, in support of operational system and the development environment.

Duties will include:

• Maintain systems as per requirements
• Ensure systems are configured with least privilege access
• Ensure systems cannot be compromised
• Ensure systems are always available
• Ensure system backups are performed and that recovery testing is done
• Ensure systems are configured in line with best practices
• Ensure systems are configured with vendor recommended hardening techniques
• Ensure that systems are maintained according to compliance frameworks requirements
• Keep abreast of latest technologies
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Display skills and knowledge related to monitoring protocols

Qualifications required:

• MCSA Windows Server 2016 (Microsoft)
• MCSA SQL Server 2012 / 2014 (Microsoft)
• CompTIA Network +
• CompTIA Security+
• Proven experience with PRTG (monitoring tool) / Syntrix / SolarWinds / AppDynamics
