As a Junior IT Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining IDM’s IT infrastructure. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to build hands-on experience in troubleshooting, user support, and IT operations. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals to ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Monitor and maintain internal IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
Work collaboratively with the IT team on improvements to internal processes and procedures.
Manage and resolve support tickets within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Participate in IT-related projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
Keep detailed records of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.
Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in an IT support or technician role.
Working knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and common operating systems.
Familiarity with helpdesk systems and remote support tools.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Awareness of IT security best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are advantageous.
