    IT Technician

    Job Description

    • Our client is looking for an experienced Technician to install, configure, maintain and support technology solutions, including WiFi networks, tracking systems and electronic devices. The role involves troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, managing technical inventory and ensuring systems operate reliably for clients. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years’ experience in technical support or field service, strong networking and hardware skills and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service. Frequent travel to client sites and occasional after-hours work may be required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and test WiFi, tracking devices, sensors and related systems.
    • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and repair hardware/software issues.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshoot client or internal system issues.
    • Maintain accurate installation, service and maintenance records.
    • Manage technical inventory, tools and equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety and technical standards.
    • Represent the organisation professionally during site visits and client engagements.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • National Diploma or Certificate in IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, Networking or related field.
    • 2–5 years in technical support, field service or hardware/network installation.
    • Experience with WiFi systems, electronic devices and troubleshooting.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Networking fundamentals and system diagnostics.
    • Hardware/electronic device installation and fault-finding.
    • Problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
    • Time management and ability to work independently.
