Java Technical Lead at Protech IT (Pty) Ltd

• Are you a seasoned Java Developer with a passion for leading teams and delivering high-quality enterprise solutions? We’re looking for a Java Technical Lead with 5–7+ years of experience to join our dynamic team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams on both functional and technical requirements
• Drive the development of Java-based enterprise applications
• Progress reporting and regular updates to project management and stakeholders
• Integrate with service gateways and perform API integration
• Utilize and support development within the Sapiens IDIT platform

Tech Skills We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with Core Java, EJB, JSP, Servlets, and Web Services (REST & SOAP)
• Solid understanding of MVC patterns, JDBC, and RESTful architecture
• Hands-on experience with SQL & MSSQL databases
• Proficiency in Git and experience with IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle
• Deep understanding of OOP principles and design/architectural patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with the Sapiens IDIT Application
• Proven leadership experience in coordinating development teams
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
