Responsibilities

• We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior AI Specialist (2) to join our team in Durban. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?
• As a Junior AI Specialist, you will support the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions that enhance business operations and customer experiences. Working alongside senior AI specialists, developers, and business stakeholders, you will assist in building AI-powered chatbots, automation workflows, and intelligent business applications across various digital platforms.
• You will help develop, test, and maintain AI solutions, integrate AI tools into existing systems, and support business teams in adopting AI technologies. This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), automation platforms, APIs, and modern AI development tools while contributing to real business projects.
• The ideal candidate is passionate about artificial intelligence, eager to learn, and enjoys solving business problems using technology.

You Bring:

• Strong understanding of automation principles and best practices
• Experience with MS365 Applications, ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code and other third-party AI tools
• Proficiency in at least one no-code/low-code automation platform such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make.com, n8n, or similar
• Solid understanding of API integrations and webhook concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and their automation capabilities
• Experience with data manipulation and Machine Learning.

Bonus to Have:

• Familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as Langchain.
• Basic understanding of traditional programming concepts, ideally with exposure to Python and programming assistants like GitHub Copilot
• Experience with prompt engineering and leveraging large language models (LLMs) for business applications
• Experience in Machine Learning and Predictive Modelling
• Ability to develop fully functional data-based applications using Codex
• Understanding how to build and implement Local LLM Setups

What You’ll Do For The Brand:

• Assist in deploying and maintaining AI models and LLM-based solutions, including on-premise setups where required, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. 
• Assist with building and testing AI agents under guidance from senior team members to autonomously execute and orchestrate business tasks, improving operational efficiency across departments. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Marketing, Operations) to define AI requirements and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. 
• Identify and evaluate business processes to uncover opportunities for AI-driven automation and optimization. 
• Support the development and testing of AI solutions, including intelligent automated workflows, chatbots, and decision-support systems. 
• Build and integrate AI-powered applications into existing business systems using APIs, webhooks, and modern integration frameworks. 
• Assist with prompt engineering for business use cases.
• Test AI solutions before deployment.
• Document AI workflows and solutions.
• Troubleshoot AI automations and escalate complex issues.
• Monitor chatbot performance and suggest improvements.
• Help maintain AI knowledge bases.
• Apply programming skills (e.g., Python) and frameworks such as LangChain (or similar) for advanced and custom AI implementations. 
• Design, deploy, and maintain AI chatbots and conversational systems across internal and customer-facing platforms
• Work closely with IT and Developers to integrate AI solutions into Hollywoodbets systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. 
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal AI tools and automation frameworks to support business operations.
• Assist in preparing training material and supporting user adoption. 
• Ensure all AI implementations comply with internal AI policies, governance, and security standards.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI trends, tools, and technologies, contributing to ongoing innovation and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree (IT or related field)
• Strong understanding of automation principles and best practices.
