Job Advert Summary    

• The purpose of this position is to perform electro-mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment while developing technical skills under supervision, supporting optimal equipment performance, minimising downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.                                             

Requirements    

• Qualified Trade Tested Millwright
• Recently trade-tested Millwrights are encouraged to apply.

Technical Experience:
Demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Electrical: Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), motors, lighting, generators, HVAC systems, blowers, and fault finding
• Mechanical: Gearboxes, pumps, flanges, seals, and basic fabrication
• Steam Reticulation: Steam pumps, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), safety valves, steam traps, and condensate systems
• Air Reticulation: Compressors, air receivers, and air dryers
• Water Reticulation: Pumps, control valves, glycol systems, and chilled water systems
• Effluent / Sewer Systems: Submersible pumps, flow meters, jetting, and rodding
• Production Equipment: High-speed machinery, packaging equipment, PLCs, SCADA systems, and fault finding
• Pneumatics & Controls: Pneumatic and electrical control systems
• General Maintenance: Basic civil and building maintenance, including carpentry, tiling, painting, building, and plumbing

Tools:

• Must have own basic toolbox 

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and standby duties as required
• Ability to work in physically demanding and extreme conditions
• Willingness to work in confined spaces

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Assemble, install, test and maintain any mechanical and electrical equipment
• Maintain and repair of plant and equipment to ensure optimal reliability and availability
• Conduct fault-finding and analysis of machine condition and failures
• Perform root cause analysis on processing equipment
• Optimize machines with pro-active approach to continuous improvement
• Perform root cause analysis on steam, refrigeration and water equipment
• Provide technical and specialist support to the maintenance and production team
• Conduct ad-hoc activities
• Inspect and test equipment as per prescribed ELKE schedule
• Complete job cards and update records
• Increase machine availability
• Do modifications
• Ensure that all process control software is backed up and kept up to date
• Participate in Way Better teams
