Junior BI Developer at SydSen Recruit

Responsibilities:
Assist in Developing BI Solutions:

• Support the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions, including interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, repeatable, and effective, and meet the expectations of stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

• Assist in analysing and interpreting data sets using statistical techniques.
• Provide insights and recommendations that support strategic decisions.
• Develop and implement methodologies for data analysis.

Data Management:

• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data used for analysis and reporting.
• Assist in developing and implementing data governance practices.
• Manage metadata and ensure it is accurate and up to date.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with various teams across the organization, including IT, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to understand their needs and develop solutions.
• Present findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Maintenance and Support:

• Provide ongoing maintenance and support of BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Optimize performance of BI tools and systems.

Required Skills:

• 1-2 Years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or in a related role.
• Basic understanding of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL/ELT framework.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI, with a basic understanding of BI best practices and trends.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data sets, identify trends, and provide insights.
• Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and explain concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Required Qualifications:

• National Senior Certificate
• Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SQL Server / Power BI Data Analyst.

Advantageous:

• Knowledge of the Autoline Rev8 and Drive IA system and its data structures.
• Experience in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling) and data mining.
• Knowledge of the C# programming language.
• Experience in the Microsoft Power platform.
• Experience in the Microsoft Azure platform.
