Job Description

• Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Bovine Technical Assistant to join our agricultural team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in cattle farming who is eager to gain hands-on experience while supporting technical and administrative functions within the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily cattle management and monitoring
• Support data collection, recordkeeping, and accurate counting of livestock
• Perform administrative tasks related to herd management and reporting
• Assist with implementation of technical processes and farm procedures
• Maintain accurate records of animal health, production, and movement
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and stakeholders
• Provide support during early shifts, overtime, and peak operational periods

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) is essential
• Qualification or studies towards B-Agric or BSc will be advantageous
• Basic knowledge and understanding of cattle farming practices
• Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Good numerical ability, especially for counting and recordkeeping
• Above-average communication skills in both English and Afrikaans, particularly within the agricultural sector
• Willingness to work overtime and early shifts when required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
