    Junior Communication Specialist

    About the Job

    Role Purpose

    • To offer professional external communication support to the communication specialists looking after our clients, which may include, but is not limited to creating content, facilitating integrated communication to all stakeholders through various communication channels in line with the clients strategic direction, communications strategies and brand.

    Requirements

    • Valid Matric Certificate
    • Relevant Degree in Communication Sciences
    • 1 – 2 year’s work experience in a communication-related environment would be advantageous

    Duties & Responsibilities
    Internal Processes

    • To work seamlessly across departmental or team boundaries in a collaborative and constructive manner to implement the strategic direction of Momentum Health Solutions (MHS)and our clients.
    • To demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence and delivery against the requirements of the MHS and client quality frameworks.
    • To work within the policies and procedures of the client and MHS at all times.

    External communication

    • Partnering with teams from across Metropolitan Health, the Client Service Provider Network, agencies and the client to develop external communications plans that support their objectives and strengthen the respective brands.
    • Developing external messaging that reflects the client brand personality, demonstrates an understanding of our audiences and is professionally and plainly written.
    • Coordinating messages across channels, ensuring that we deliver our external communications in a planned, targeted and well organised way.
    • Working with communication specialists to develop creative approaches for communicating with external audiences.
    • Overall responsibility for maintaining the integrity, structure and high quality content of the clients website.
    • Contributing to integration by ensuring that internal and external communications for key campaigns and projects are aligned.
    • Writing content to a professional standard and distributing it through a wide range of channels.
    • Measuring and reviewing the effectiveness of communication channels and making recommendations to the Senior Manager: Communications as appropriate.
    • Engaging with clients stakeholders to facilitate seamless production processes.

    Client

    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
    • Deliver on service level agreements applicable to clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
    • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
    • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
    • Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery.
    • Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that clients receive appropriate advice and after sales service.
    • Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes.

    People

    • Build strong relationships through providing specialist know-how and leadership to others, expressing positive expectations.
    • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in an area of specialisation.
    • Positively influence and manage change and offer specialist support where required.
    • Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas and involvement of colleagues and staff.

    Finance

    • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
    • Implement and provide input into governance processes, systems and legislation within area of specialisation.
    • Escalate unresolved policy and governance compliance issues via appropriate channels for investigation and resolution purposes.
    • Provide input into the risk identification processes development and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum.
