Junior Cost Accountant at Green Marble Recruitment

ROLE OVERVIEW: 

• The Junior Cost Accountant supports accurate costing, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis to drive informed business decisions.
• The role focuses on product costing, variance analysis, standard costing, and ERP data integrity, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting audits, stock control, and month-end reporting.

Minimum requirements:

• Degree / Advanced Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting.
• Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables).
• Must reside in Howick or be willing to relocate.
• Understanding of ERP Systems.

Duties and responsibilities:
Cost Analysis and Reporting:

• Prepare product costing and cost reports.
• Maintain standard costing systems and analyse cost variances.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and month-end reporting.
• Support stock counts, asset verification, and inventory analysis.
• Provide cost analysis and assist with management reporting.

Compliance and Financial Control

• Maintain accurate financial records and GL reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain stock codes and master data.
• Assist with ad hoc finance and management requests.
