    About the Junior Digital Designer role

    As our digital playing field increases exponentially, we will need to ensure that our social media presence, email marketing and site has a high degree of excellence. The junior Digital designer will need to produce engaging social media imagery that strikes the right fintech look and feel. You should understand that your function is to “persuade people” using beautifully crafted imagery.

    To be successful in this role in the long term, it is important that the candidate develop a love for our brand, customer, staff, products and industry. It is important that they come to see themselves as the custodian of the brand look and feel and keeping up with latest trends in the market.

    What will you do?

    • Design engaging social media imagery

    • Email marketing design and HTML coding

    Here are some of the other types of materials you could be expected to produce:

    • Letters to customers

    • Catalogue ads

    • In-store posters

    • Video stills

    • Internal newsletters

    • Internal creative for presentations

    • New product launches

    The right candidate should enjoy working alone and within the wider team. You should not shy away from any design challenge, whether it be customer-facing, business to business, or a piece for internal communications. You should confidently communicate your progress to your manager and key stakeholders, approach the right people for any questions, and base your work on sound research. Competitor research is an ongoing task that is expected, so as to keep us relevant, cutting edge, and NUMBER ONE!

    You should be agile when it comes to shifting priorities in terms of the business’s needs and should also allocate time to constantly work on the bigger (and perhaps less urgent) projects.

    Required skills and qualifications

    • 2 years’ design experience, demonstrated by a suitable portfolio

    • Relevant design diploma / degree

    • Design experience needs to include social media posts and email marketing and HTML coding

    • Adobe Creative suite

    • HTML and CSS coding

    • Experience in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, Google Docs, Google Sheets is advantageous
