Junior Electrical Repairs Technician (Milnertin/Century City) at ACDC Dynamics SA

Description

• Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, including Electronics, Inverters, UPS units, and AVR systems.
• Compile accurate and clear technical reports.
• Attend to customer technical enquiries professionally.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on various customer products.
• Manage back orders and ensure all repairs meet repair‑policy turnaround times.
• Meet daily and weekly repair deadlines consistently.
• Maintain stock control within the workshop.
• Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other measuring tools.
• Read and interpret electrical/electronic circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Advise management on unsafe or unsuitable equipment, appliances, or components.
• Assist with ordering electrical supplies and equipment.
• Inspect customer appliances and determine causes of breakdowns.
• Perform maintenance on customer appliances where required.
• Provide customers with preliminary cost estimates for repairs.
• Repair or replace defective or damaged components after receiving customer approval.
• Educate customers on correct and safe appliance usage.

Requirements

• N3 Light Current qualification – Essential
• Minimum 1 year experience in electrical or electronic repairs
• Proven experience repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical appliances
• Ability to use various hand tools and test equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when required
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience working with electronic systems such as UPSs, inverters, and similar devices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
