Junior Financial Accountant: Lancet (Permanent Position) at Lancet Laboratories

Job Summary:

• Responsible for processing accounting transactions for any entity allocated within the Lancet Group of entities.

Minimum Criteria Needed:

• B. Com degree in Accounting/Finance
• B.Com Hons in Accounting/ Finance advantageous

Experience:  

• 3-5 Yrs Relevant Working Experience as a financial accountant

Relevant Job Knowledge:

• Business processes and services
• Computer literate

Key Performance Areas:

• Calculating and processing accounting transaction into the general ledger of an allocated entity within the Lancet Group of entities;
• Assist financial accountant with managing all accounting transactions within the entity responsible for;
• Assist financial accountant with monthly and annual closings;
• Assist with capturing and processing bank payments;
• Assist financial accountant with Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements;
• Assist financial accountant thorough trend analysis to recognise any anomalies and / or deviations from the norm and assist with investigations and processing of corrections;
• Assist with audit of financial transactions and documents;
• Interact with internal and external customers regarding queries;
• Interact with internal and external auditors;
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks as and when required from management.
