To support the management of foundry production operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing of cast components while meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and scheduling daily production activities
Monitor production output and ensure targets are met
Supervise foundry staff including moulders, furnace operators, and general workers
Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspect production processes
Coordinate with pattern shop, melting, and finishing departments
Assist in troubleshooting production and casting defects
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Monitor material usage and reduce waste/scrap
Maintain production records and reports
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 Minimum - Studies in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering will be advantageous
1–3 years experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of casting processes and metallurgy
Supervisory or leadership exposure advantageous
Computer literacy (MS Excel, production systems)
Willingness to work shifts and extended hours if required
