Junior Inspector - Seasonal Talent Development Opportunities (Remainder of 24-month programme) - (1107) at PPECB

Areas of Responsibilities:  

• Inspect and certify perishable products;
• Inspect the handling, storage and transport of perishable products;
• Ensure the correct application of quality management systems, BMS procedures and working instructions;
• Perform administrative tasks;
• Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients;
• Communicate with various clients on own specific task and outcome of decisions;
• Participate in the relief duty roster;
• Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility

Job Requirements

• A National Diploma in an agricultural or food science disciplines.
• National Certificate: Perishable Produce Export Technology (AETP) would be advantageous.
• Practical experience, theoretical knowledge and competence in Citrus.
• Practical experience, theoretical knowledge/exposure related to the specified geographical area and/or competency in Stone Fruit (Plums and Other) would be advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• The ability to work independently and / or with minimum supervision.
• A valid code 08 drivers license and own reliable vehicle is a requirement for doing the job.

Additionally, the following criteria will be reviewed:

• Relevant Service history to the job in question at the PPECB
• Competency records (verified by L&D)
• Performance records at the PPECB
• Disciplinary records during their service/contract at the PPECB
