KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching and Learning:

• To deliver quality lectures and support to students
• Set assessments and make sure that students receive feedback on time.
• Address student queries and problems.
• Develop study material.

Research and Innovation and/or Creative Outputs:

• It is mandatory to register for an M.A / PhD programme within the first year of employment and complete the qualification within record time.
• Involvement in research entity activities.

Academic Leadership and Administration:

• Fulfilling management tasks and duties in service of the university, as they arise.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.

Social Responsiveness (sharing of expertise and community engagement):

• Involvement in community engagement through CE projects and collaboration with necessary stakeholders.

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS):

• Cooperate with management, OHS officials and colleagues to help everyone meet the legal requirements, whilst upholding and maintaining general occupational health and safety standards and practices.

Minimum requirements

• An honours’ degree (NQF Level 8) in Setswana, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
• A minimum of one (1) year lecturing or tutoring experience at a tertiary institution.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Registration for M.A or PhD.
