Junior Operational Nutritionist (Pietermaritzburg) at AFGRI Equipment

Description

• Responsible for cost-effective feed formulation, raw material, and final product quality management on site as well as overseeing the quality management system on-site, technical support to procurement and sales departments.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS    

• BSc. Agric (Animal Science) and/or MSc. Agric in Animal Nutrition Science
• Experience will be an added advantage 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS        

• Maintain raw material and product matrices and determine quotations for raw material costs
• Communicate and coordinate the cost impact of raw material restrictions
• Manage feed risk data for the mill as well as the 
• Manage quality-related corrective and preventative actions and non-conformances
• Identify and investigate current and alternative raw material opportunities
• Management of laboratory staff
• Management of the Quality Management System, including overseeing internal and external audits

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES          

• Sound technical knowledge of Animal Nutrition Science
• Feed Formulation experience will be an advantage
