Roles and Responsibilities:

• Facilitating Agile processes: The Scrum Master facilitates the Agile development process within the team, including sprint planning, daily Scrum meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. They help the team to understand and implement the Agile principles and practices.
• Ensuring adherence to Scrum principles: The Scrum Master ensures that the team follows the Scrum principles, rules, and values. They help the team to be self-organized and cross-functional, promoting collaboration and transparency.
• Removing obstacles: The Scrum Master identifies and removes any obstacles that may prevent the team from achieving their goals. They help the team to focus on delivering value and avoid distractions.
• Managing the product backlog: The Scrum Master works with the product owner to manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is up-to-date and prioritized based on business value. They help the team to understand the product vision and the customer needs.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration: The Scrum Master facilitates communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders. They help the team to build trust and transparency, and to create a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitoring and reporting progress: The Scrum Master monitors and reports on the team's progress, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action where necessary. They help the team to stay on track and achieve their goals.

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary level education and relevant work experience
• Proven track record of 2 -3 years working in the software industry as either of the following; a Project Manager of any level and a Scrum Master of any level.
• A proven understanding of the Software Delivery Life Cycle

• Communication:Excellent communication skills are essential for a Scrum Master, who must be able to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management. They must also be able to facilitate team meetings and provide feedback to team members in a constructive manner.
• Empathy: A Scrum Master needs to be able to understand the perspectives and needs of team members and be empathetic to their concerns. This helps to build trust and rapport with the team and fosters a positive team culture.
• Problem-solving: A Scrum Master needs to be a skilled problem-solver, able to identify obstacles and find creative solutions to overcome them. They should be able to apply Agile and Scrum principles to solve problems and improve team performance.
• Adaptability: The Scrum Master needs to be adaptable and flexible, able to respond to changing circumstances and adjust plans accordingly. They should be open to feedback and willing to learn from mistakes.
• Training & Upskilling: It is at the Scrum Masters own prerogative to upskill and keep growing with the Business and Individually to ensure a world class service and knowledge base that must be worked from.
• Dependability: A Scrum Master should be able to manage his time efficiently and timeously. A mature approach to management of his/her time, being able to work remotely but available for in office attendance when or should it be.
