Junior QA Technician at McCormick & Company

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct quality sampling, analysis & reporting for raw materials and finished products which includes environmental samples.
• Timely and accurate maintenance of data systems to ensure compliance to traceability standards and key performance indicators
• Adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), good laboratory practices (GLP) and master cleaning schedules (MCS).
• Compliance with company, Third Party and customer standards demonstrated by successful completion of Inter-lab proficiency schemes, routine refresher training and competency assessments.
• Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Participate with RCA and CAPA implementation.
• Conducting internal audits.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Further educated to HNC or equivalent in a science subject - preferably chemistry or biochemistry.
• Similar experience in a manufacturing environment working within Quality Management Systems.
• Practical experience of Good Laboratory Practices.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with multiple levels within the business as well as with external contactors.
• Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
• PC literate as a minimum.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret analytical and microbiological data.
