Junior Software Test Analyst at Cobblestone Energy

Job role and responsibilities: 

• Test software applications using a specification document with requirements developed as per our client’s needs.
• Document test cases covering almost all scenarios.
• Gather and document evidence for bugs and queries to be logged.
• Log software and specification bugs or queries and assign to the QC Manager for review.
• Perform regression testing of affected software modules.
• Test fixes from bugs spotted in live environments.
• Perform front-end and back-end testing.
• Ability to query a database using SQL statements, read and understand stored procedures and triggers.
• Meet deadlines as communicated by the QC Manager.
• Test a variety of software applications such as, but not limited to, Windows Forms applications, Console applications, Windows Services, ASP.net websites, Web Services, Android apks, etc.
• Technical ability to set up your local machine with test databases, environments, and software applications.
• Communicate daily with your colleagues and Manager when needed.

Candidate requirements:

• Must have an IT related Diploma or Degree.
• ISTQB qualification would be advantageous.
• 1 to 2 years of Software Testing experience would be an advantage.
• Must be a deadline, detailed and process-driven.
• Must be analytical and have good attention to detail.
• Must be honest and have integrity.
• Ability to question things and can think outside the box.
• Experience using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Profiler.
• Must have a passion for Software Testing, finding bugs and is a “perfectionist”.
• Have a mindset that software should be bug-free.
• Can work in a team and individually with minimal supervision when needed.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
