Junior Underwriter at Boardroom Appointments

You should be able to efficiently support the credit process by analysing and determining a clients risk when reviewing applications. You need to be proficient in verbal and written communication as you will prepare and report decision-making data that will contribute to lending decisions made.

Responsibilities:

• Perform efficient risk assessments of clients and provide feedback to the team
• Assess client background information and financial status
• Review applications for compliance and adherence
• Perform telephonic trade reference checks and any post-credit checks necessary before disbursement of funds
• Communicate recommendations to clients credit team
• Analyse client performance for any concerning changes
• Efficiently obtain clarifications where concerns are present

Skills And Qualifications

• Matric
• Credit Management or BCom Degree
• Basic understanding of payment terms etc
• Capability to establish a good rapport with clients
• Strong analytical skills
• Problem-solving capabilities
