Junior Workshop Assistant at Talented Recruitment Specialists

• An established client in Ballito is seeking a technically minded and reliable Junior Workshop Assistant to join their workshop team.
• The successful candidate will assist experienced technicians with general workshop requirements, the preparation and rebuilding of equipment, and related practical tasks while developing their technical skills and knowledge within a hands-on workshop environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians with general workshop requirements.
• Assist with the preparation, rebuilding and fitting of mechanical components and equipment.
• Carry out practical workshop tasks as instructed.
• Assist with the handling, preparation and fitting of components as required.
• Follow instructions and established workshop procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Develop technical and practical knowledge through hands-on workshop experience.
• Complete tasks accurately and within required timeframes.
• Work effectively as part of the workshop team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a workshop environment, preferably for at least two years.
• Technically minded with a practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Grade 12 or equivalent preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Reliable and responsible approach to work.
• Contactable references from previous employment.
• Residing in or around Ballito or the surrounding North Coast area, particularly for candidates without their own transport.

Advantageous:

• Previous experience in a mechanical or technical workshop.
• Experience in an automotive workshop, panel shop, auto electrical environment or similar.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Own reliable transport.
