BSc. Degree in Microbiology, Virology, Biotechnology with two (2) working experience or National Diploma in the above fields coupled with five (5) years' relevant working experience will also be considered.

Registration with the South African Health Professions Council as Virologist or Medical Scientist.

Performs laboratory tests according to approved protocols.
Ensures maintenance of equipment and instruments for quality assurance purposes.
Oversee the maintenance of good laboratory practice.
