Labeler Operator REF :LOP2401 - Paarl at KWV

Purpose: The incumbent needs to ensure that all procedures are followed regarding the labelling and packaging process. Ensure that they will be responsible for and continually strive to do their part to ensure that only a safe, quality product that meets all applicable standards and requirements is manufactured.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant experience in terms Labeler operation would be an advantage
• 2-3 years’ experience in a production environment
• Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime if and when required.

Knowledge Required:

• Knowledge and understanding of HACCP in a production environment
• Good understanding of Manufacturing Process and waste reduction
• Understanding Quality in a production environment

Skills Required:

• Basic computer, numerical and technical skills
• Administration skills
• Technical ability to do first line maintenance and basic problem solving
• Good communication skills
• Able to work individually and in a team
• Problem identification
• High attention to detail
• Target driven and focused on continuous improvement

Job Summary:

• Implement good housekeeping, hygiene and safety practices
• Meet all requirements within set timeframes within production schedule
• Consistently comply with workplace standards and practices
• Reconcile stock issued to production orders
• Manage the process of stock to be returned to minimise waste
• As a leader within the team, the incumbent will be required to guide team members to ensure that processes are followed, efficiencies are driven and outputs are attained.
