    Laboratory Assistant:, Dept. of Intermediate Phase, Faculty of Education (Internal Only) - (7035)

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • A Senior Certificate/Matric.
    • At least one (1) year’s relevant experience in laboratory work
    • Competence in English and/or Afrikaans
    • Competence in the use of technology

    Recommendations:

    • A relevant Teaching Qualification (Sciences)
    • Exposure to academic teaching methodology in higher education

    Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

    • Assist with laying out of class material, setting up of equipment and any other general preparations for classes/instructions.
    • Store keeping.
    • Issuing of equipment
    • Cleaning of equipment
    • Technological support
    • General minor maintenance
    • General administration
    • Ad hoc functions as requested by the HOD
