Laboratory Intern (Temporary) - Durban at PepsiCo

Job Overview:Prepares test samples of materials used in production, components, etc. and conducts physical and/or rheological tests to ensure conformity to established specifications. Normally reports to Quality and Food Safety Supervisor. System administration of FSQ.

• Conduct routine laboratory tests
• Documented and managed quality and laboratory processes and information
• Sample and tested raw materials, packaging and finished products
• Assist in preparations for internal and external audits and closing findings timeously
• Resolving customer complaints
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Maintain strict health and safety environment standard and ensure good housekeeping
• Implement HACCP requirement
• Conduct microbiological sampling and result interpretation

Qualifications

• Three-year qualification or equivalent in Food Technology/Biotechnology or similar
• Knowledge in quality and food safety
• Understanding GLP (Good Laboratory Practises)
• Understand ISO 17025
