Laboratory Technician at Mars

Purpose

• Perform analysis and maintain lab and quality control equipment in production. 
• Perform auto control and if appropriate, upgrade lab analysis

What are we looking for?

• Tertiary education in food science, chemistry, laboratory, or similar fields is preferred
• Previous experience in a food / feed plant laboratory preferred
• Experience in HPLC, GC is preferred
• Good communication skills
• Technically inclined with computer skills
• Self-motivated, initiative, team player, safety & hygiene & quality conscious
• English skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Sampling of bulk and pallet raw materials.
• Analysis of samples from various sources to identify compounds and elements using Foss NIR.
• Analysis of Mycotoxin and Histamine using Elisa method.
• Analysis of Mycotoxin using Q+ Method.
• Analysis on BHA-BHT using Gas Chromatography
• Oxidation analysis for FFA and PV potentiometric methods.
• Validating results and filling out any associated forms including non-conformance forms
• Perform inventory maintenance for analysis.
• Ensuring Laboratory stock availability  
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Validation and verification of laboratory and factory scales and balances.
