Labour Overseer - Johannesburg at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

• The successful candidate will assist the Horticulturist at the Environmental Management Services Department at Foresthill with improving production and managing maintenance standards and schedules to meet and guarantee customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements    

• Code 8 (EB) Driver’s License. (Ability to pass Rand Water's K53 driver test)
• Grade 12 or NQF level 5 qualification
• Studying towards a National Diploma in Horticulture is desirable
• The candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in the horticultural field and 1 year experience in supervision with IR experience
• Intermediate safety knowledge
• The following knowledge is desirable; Irrigation related knowledge and experience, Alien
• Invasive Plant Control knowledge, and Chemical application knowledge

Primary Duties    

• Use and allocation of specialised horticultural machinery.
• First line in handling disciplinary matters.
• Completion of job cards I requests I defects.
• Address and rectify all safety related issues.
• Undertake job observations and assist with on the job training.
