Requirements:

• Degree/ Diploma in languages, translations or journalism.
• 3 years minimum experience in copy- editing, proofreading and translations (English & Afrikaans)
• Must be computer Literate.
• Must have excellent knowledge in grammar and language rules.
• Must be professional and presentable.

Duties:

• Check grammar, syntax, spelling, terminology, punctuating.
• Ensure consistency of languages, terms used, spelling, capitalization, abbreviations, expressions of numbers and references.
• Translate texts from English to Afrikaans – Visa versa.
• Check accuracy of dates and ensure all templates are adhered to.
• Identify and communicate potential problems to the Head of Academics and Chief Education Specialist amongst other duties that will be communicated to the individual.
