Grade 9 or ABET or NQF Level 1. Knowledge of laundry / Linen services will be an added advantage, must be able to read and write. Prepared to work under pressure, must be able to do work of physical nature, (Weekends and Public holidays)
Duties :
Issuing and delivering of clean linen to relevant departments. Receiving clean linen from Provincial Laundry. Packing of clean linen in the shelves, controlling and monitoring stock in the linen stores. Collecting the dirty linen for washing, sorting out and counting of soiled linen before sending for washing, making follow up on linen not received back.
Sluicing of stained linen. Queries, assist in the process of stock taking and weekly spot checking, cleaning of linen trolleys before and after use. Comply with Performance Management and Development System (Contracting, quarterly reviews and Final assessment). Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor that are related to the job description that is lawful.
