LOCATION : Erasmuskloof, Pretoria
POSITION STATUS : Fixed Term Contract: 2 years
To perform the solution analysis and architecture in order to design, develop / procure, package, release and maintain/enhance integrated applications, in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government. This includes the analysis and design required for the development of enterprise Solution Architecture and the integration thereof with the other applicable Enterprise Architecture domains (Information Architecture, Application Architecture, and Technology Architecture).
Responsibilities
- Support the GOV ERP Solutions in developing and implementing Solutions strategies and roadmaps to ensure a comprehensive and integrated solutions function;
- Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of governance and monitor the adherence thereto so as to deliver quality products in a controlled environment;
- Create contextual and conceptual Solution Architecture and direct and quality assure solution and software development;
- Participate in the development and implementation of Architectural mechanisms for GOV ERP Solutions to improve interoperability of government systems; and
- Design, develop, package, release and maintain innovative IT solutions so as to meet service delivery commitments in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: 3 year National Higher Diploma or Bachelors degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering)
- Experience: 18 - 9 years’ experience in the ICT field, including solution analysis, development and architecture with leadership, general management, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation including:
- 5 years’ experience in solution analysis, development and architecture for the development, implementation and maintenance / enhancements Government ERP solutions within the corporate/public sector,
including:
- Strategic thinking and leadership abilities;
- Successfully developed and implemented applications;
- Demonstrated project management competency and the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects; and Developed efficient and effective IT solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
- Hands-on implementation experience with any COTS product’s Middleware stack. Oracle product preferred but not essential
Must have experience on Platform Architecture work (design of logical, physical and reference integration architectures)
