    Lead Content and Audience Insights

    Key Performance Objectives

    Partnership and collaboration

    • Recognised as a trusted partner and advisor who understands and collaborates with Content and other teams in business.
    • Partner and collaborate with the Content teams to shape delivery strategy through improved capabilities and adoption of technology.
    • Understands the business context, business domain, industry best practices and operations.
    • Identify and shape insights-driven solutions and capabilities in the in the audience and content environment.
    • Act as a bridge between Content, data and insights, and technology, and combines these with the art of the possible to shape business opportunities.
    • Validate accuracy, completeness, and relevance of information to drive decisions that solve business needs.

    Solution delivery and management

    • Gather, analyse, and present data-driven insights to key stakeholders within the organization.
    • Develop and maintain reports that track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across audience and content.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and ensure data accuracy.
    • Develop and implement data visualization techniques that effectively communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Provide recommendations based on data insights to drive business decisions.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to data analysis and reporting.
    • Conduct ongoing evaluation and maintenance on supporting technology, systems, and tools to ensure continuous delivery to business stakeholders.
    • Close collaboration with the Content and CII teams to enable continuous customer experience improvements for data teams and business users.
    • Ensure alignment between delivery teams and Data Privacy and Governance teams.
    • Report on viewership insights of the connected customer.
    • Provide specialist advice in the usage and interpretation of audience metrics for business to enable performance tracking of channel, genre, package, and events, including calculation and alignment of ROI metrics.

    • Drive specialist advice in the usage and interpretation of audience metrics for business to enable performance tracking of channel, genre, package and events through continuous awareness, education and adoption of data and analytics in the organization.
    • Ensures the organisation uses insights to inform all decisions and strategies.
    • Ensures the business is aware of new innovations, technologies, and solutions available and has the confidence to use them.
    • Play a supportive role in identifying skills and capability gaps both in business and in delivery teams.

    Strategic Leadership

    • understand the bigger picture and align reporting and insights efforts with the organization's strategic goals.
    • Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and present reports in a clear and concise manner.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, build relationships, and influence key stakeholders to support data-driven decision making.
    • Use data analysis tools and techniques to gather and interpret data, identify patterns and trends, and provide insights that inform business decisions.
    • Lead the creative and innovative development of data reporting and visualization techniques, and constantly seek new ways to improve data-driven decision making.
    • Lead and mentor a team of Senior Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality audience insights.
    • Set and achieve goals and targets, and continually monitor and improve performance against established metrics.

    People Management

    • Oversee the activities of the team to ensure effective delivery of business outcomes.
    • Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance management process using I-perform system and informal coaching. Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members.
    • Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed.
    • Interview and recruit new members of the team, including determining appropriate compensation levels with input from Human Capital.
    • Create effective workforce and recruitment demand plans to ensure that current and future business requirements can be met.
    • When required, initiate disciplinary processes for team members calling on support from Human Capital when required.
    • Resolve grievances raised by team members and escalate only if required.
    • Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance improvement programme and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with.
    • Motivate team members and ensure that their efforts are recognised.

    Qualifications

    • Postgraduate or equivalent in Economics, Marketing or Media
    • MBA or Postgraduate in Statistics or Computer Science Advantageous

    Experience

    • Overall experience of 10+ years in related fields
    • 8 years in business analysis and analytics/BI (understanding and delivering business insights) in the field of content and audience analytics.
    • Working knowledge of various software systems like TechEdge, Arianna and Brandwatch
    • Minimum 2 years management experience (dealing with executive-level stakeholders and commercial issues)
    • Experience in a consulting environment in a relevant commercial business area would be advantageous
