Lead: Logistics Operations at UD Trucks

Job Overview

• UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry.  This Position reports directly to the Logistics Manager. He/She will be responsible to lead a team of internal Logistics flow and collaborate with the respective stakeholders to deliver the required products to the immediate Customer. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Leading the internal logistics team in UDSA
• Responsible for coaching and development of the team
• Responsible to execute the Parts Receipt / Unpacking/ Storage & Parts picking in accordance with routines and support to production to fulfil the KPI.
• Responsible to store the parts in the most optimised way.
• Responsible to follow up the material shortage to material controller to avoid delay in production.
• Responsible for the stock accuracy of the stocks available.
• Responsible to provide all evidence for issues related to parts (UCR etc).
• Responsible to Conduct Gemba Audit in the workplace.
• Responsible to escalate, in accordance with routines, deviations and risk for disturbances to production line.
• Responsible to Conduct Morning Team meeting and review the routines as per the production plan.
• Responsible to participate in cross functional L2 meeting to update logistics status.
• Responsible for the UDPS activities within the team
• Responsible to implement appropriate material handling flows in accordance to the recommended way of working
• Responsible to measure MIS & KPI for internal logistics process.
• Responsible to maintain good housekeeping and safety measures.
• Responsible to prepare the picking list for all KD kits to aid the internal logistics operations
• Responsible to maintain good industrial relations in the shop floor
• Maintain ISO 9001 & 14001 standards
• Engage in all plant and department specific initiatives
• Support the Logistics Engineering Team projects
• Collaborate with the packing platform for any improvement activities

Minimum Qualifications

• B-Degree / N.Dip - Engineering / Logistics Management/Operations Management

EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant experience in Logistics & Material Handling (5-10 Years)
