Lead Software Developer at PTP Intergrated

The Lead Developer is a critical role, this person helps organise and coordinates the work of development within a multi-disciplinary digital team (Developers, QA, BA, UX etc) works closely with product owners. As the leader of the development team, this person will drive the technology decision-making and development process for projects of varying scales. This person will also be a first-class developer in their own right and will contribute significant code to all their projects. 

Functional Activities:

• Play a major role in C# .Net project ideation and inception 
• Help determine and manage the timelines and resources for their projects 
• Promote and enforce development best practices within their team 
• At times perform the Scrum Master role within a project team, or work closely with the Scrum Master to lead planning meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives 
• Deliver projects within agreed timescales and budgets 
• Participate as a developer on all projects 
• Function as part of the wider development team, working closely with their peers on other teams and senior managers to deliver our technology strategy 
• Work with other disciplines including QA, UX and Design, and Architecture to ensure adherence to technology and process standards and our regulatory requirements 
• Participate in internal learning and development programmes and mentor junior staff. 

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• 7 years of experience.
• A strong track record of delivering data-driven and customer-facing web portals. 
• Knowledge and background of case, documents and record management systems. 
• Hands-on experience in developing high-performance multithreaded applications and software products
• Good knowledge of SQL Server 2014/2016/2019
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Web development stack including C# and NET MVC 
• Detailed knowledge of object-oriented design principles and a good understanding of modern architectural principles including SOA 
• Good general knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web technologies in general 
• Systems / API Integration
• Significant experience writing testable code, unit tests and using test automation 
• Significant commercial experience of delivering projects with Agile methods (ideally Scrum) 
• Any experience with JIRA, Trello, Azure DevOps
• OOP, Design Patterns and SOLID Principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and in particular the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff and stakeholders.
