Lead Telematics Mobile Engineer at Discovery Limited

Key Purpose

• The telematics team is growing to permanently support in house development of our iOS and Android telematics-driving app. To this effect, we are looking for a dynamic, innovative, driven lead Mobile Engineer to lead our efforts in building out our expertise. Ideally, this candidate will be comfortable with working in either iOS native or Android native. Has some management experience (reviewing pull requests, manage workloads, backlog grooming). Is looking to be a lead engineer on a dynamic team as we expand our product offering. The mobile lead engineer will have extensive working relationships with our telematics technology partner Cambridge Mobile Telematics and our various third party app development companies.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

• Lead our mobile development efforts and define our roadmap over time
• Maintain our continuous integration pipeline
• Manage two developers (one iOS and one Android)
• Own our code base for long term maintainability and stability
• Code review
• Pull requests
• Deployments
• Innovate new features for the product
• Manage pipeline of requests for changes

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or a related field
• 1-3 year’s related experience
• Experience with Telematics systems

• CI: Bitrise
• iOS: Objective C and Swift
• Android: native
• Rest api’s to serve content
