Minimum requirements, including:

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or NQF 4.
• Certificate in Grain Grading and Grain Fumigation will be advantageous.

Essential Experience

• Previous exposure or experience in a grain handling, agricultural, warehouse, or manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with grain receiving, handling, drying, and storage operations.
• Monitor the flow of grain continuously and report irregularities.
• Assist with grain grading and sampling processes under supervision.
• Monitor grain dryer performance and moisture levels to maintain grain quality.
• Conduct grain fumigation activities as instructed and supervised.
• Monitor grain tube temperatures and report deviations to the Supervisor.
• Measure grain stock levels according to company policies and safety regulations.
• Operate silo equipment and grain handling systems according to VKB policies and procedures.
• Assist with operating conveyors, bucket elevators, augers, and related grain handling equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, housekeeping, and cleaning of silo, dryer, and grain handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate operational and stock records as required.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times.
• Provide general assistance and perform ad hoc duties as required by Management.
