Learning Facilitator / Tutor | Constantia | R12 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Child: Boy – 14 years (ADHD and Dyspraxia)
• Neurodivergence Profile: The child presents with ADHD and dyspraxia. He is highly musical and enjoys horse riding, both of which are strengths that can be used to support learning, engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Support Style: This role focuses on functional, real-world learning rather than a traditional curriculum. The child is working at varying academic levels, with a strong focus on language development. The candidate should take a hands-on, practical, and adaptable approach, using experiential methods instead of worksheets, with the goal of building confidence, independence, and real-world skills. The role includes working closely with the mother and collaborating with external professionals where needed.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 12:00
• School holiday hours: To be discussed (role continues during most school holidays, excluding public holidays and with flexibility around leave)
• Duties: Providing individualised educational support across subjects, focusing on English language development and communication skills, adapting content to different academic levels across subjects, supporting organisation, planning, and learning routines, creating a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment
• Curriculum: There is no requirement to follow a formal curriculum. The family is not focused on CAPS or a matric pathway at this stage, but rather on providing a meaningful, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning experience tailored to the child’s needs.
• Special requirements: Female. Background in OT, Remedial/Learning Support Education, Speech Therapy or Psychology. ND experience. Patient, calm, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent. An understanding of executive functioning challenges is advantageous.
• Start date and term: ASAP/April - permanent
• Salary: R12 000 per month (Gross, before deductions)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
