Lecturer History and Social Science Education (4032)

- Job Field Art / Crafts / Languages , Education / Teaching
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Facilitate learning, teaching, and assessment processes in the Faculty.
- Engage in scholarly work with an increased focus on the Africanisation and Decolonization of History and Social Science Education.
- Participate in research collaboration that will lead to publications and conference presentations in the field of History and Social Science Education.
- Engage in postgraduate supervision in History and Social Science Education.
- Participate in Faculty administration.
- Participate in community engagement projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Masters Degree in History and Social Science in Education or equivalent.
- A PhD in Education focusing on History and Social Science will be an added advantage.
- Experience (1-5 years) in the teaching of History and Social Science Education at a university.
- Experience in the teaching History and Social Science at a school level
- A sound disciplinary and content knowledge in History and Social Science in Education.
- Some Post Graduate supervision experience will be an added advantage.
- A publication track record will be an added advantage
