    • One of our clients in the mining industry is seeking an experienced Project Administrator to provide dedicated administrative and coordination support to the Mine Manager at a mining operation based in Balfour, Mpumalanga.
    • This is a full-time, site-based position suited to a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Administrator who has previous experience working directly within a mining environment.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative, reporting, document control and coordination support to the Mine Manager and the broader mining/project team.
    • The role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and understands the administrative requirements, processes and standards associated with mining projects.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A relevant qualification in Project Administration, Business Administration, Office Administration, Project Management or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years' Project Administration experience within the mining industry.
    • Previous experience providing administrative support to a Mine Manager, Mining Manager, Project Manager, Engineering Manager or senior mining management is highly advantageous.
    • Proven experience working on a mine site or within a mining operation.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    Project & Mine Manager Administration

    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Mine Manager.
    • Manage the Mine Manager's diary, meetings, appointments and site commitments.
    • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparation of agendas and supporting documentation.
    • Prepare meeting minutes, action lists and follow up on outstanding actions.
    • Coordinate communication between the Mine Manager, project teams, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive operational and commercial information.

    Mining Project Administration

    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to mining projects and operational activities.

    • A leading platinum and chrome producer is seeking an experienced Pre-Contract Specialist to join its Contracts & Legal Support function, reporting to the Contracts Manager.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all pre-contract activities from initiation of the procurement process through to contract award and handover, ensuring that Scopes of Work, tender documentation, contractual terms, commercial requirements and supplier/contractor qualifications are appropriately reviewed, clarified and aligned prior to contract award.
    • The role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement and other relevant stakeholders to identify and manage contractual and commercial risks, facilitate contractual clarifications and negotiations, and ensure contracts are concluded in accordance with the Company's governance requirements, approved contracting strategies and standard terms and conditions.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree, BTech or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, LLB or a related discipline.
    • A recognised qualification at NQF Level 7 or above is mandatory.
    • Demonstrable experience in contract preparation, tender and bid review, contractual clarifications, contract negotiations and contractual risk management within mining, EPCM, construction or project environments.

    • Support the continuous improvement and standardisation of contract templates, contracting processes and pre-contract controls.
    • Support the Contracts Manager in ensuring consistent application of contracting principles across project packages.
    • Promote adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the pre-contract function.

    Senior Quantity Surveyor – Platinum Mining Projects

    • Our client, a well-established platinum mining operation based in Zimbabwe, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their project team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quantity surveying and commercial functions across mining, capital and infrastructure projects, including cost control, contract administration, budgeting, forecasting, contractor claims and commercial reporting.
    • The position requires an experienced quantity surveying professional with strong mining, heavy industrial, mineral processing, EPCM or large-scale infrastructure experience.
    • The successful candidate will be required to work at the mine site in Zimbabwe, either through relocation or a rotational arrangement of approximately 6 weeks on site followed by 2 weeks in South Africa.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
    • Minimum 8 years’ Quantity Surveying experience.
    • At least 5 years’ experience within mining, heavy industrial, mineral processing, EPCM or large-scale infrastructure projects.
    • Strong experience in contract administration and commercial management.
    • Proven experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting and project reporting.
    • Strong experience preparing, reviewing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
    • Experience conducting quantity take-offs and preparing detailed cost estimates.
