    Lecturer/Senior Lecturer: Learner Support (N001156)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Learner Support and Inclusive Education.
    • Research publications and supervision of higher degree students in the field of Learner Support and Inclusive Education
    • Community engagement
    • Development of study guides and study material
    • Assist with Work Integrated Learning of student
    • Administration 

    Minimum requirements

    Lecturer

    • An MEd or equivalent in Learner Support/Inclusive Education or equivalent.
    • A Professional Teachers Qualification  in Education.

    Senior Lecturer

    • A PhD  in Learner Support or Inclusion Education.
    • Two accredited publications.
    • One successful higher degree supervision completed.

    ADDED ADVANTAGES:

    •  A minimum of two (2) years’ Higher Education experience as a Lecturer.
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience of learner support practice as a teacher or private practitioner.
    • Registered on SACE.

    FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS)

    • Knowledge of teaching in different modes of delivery.
    • Computer proficient
    • Language proficiency to function in a multilingual environment.

    KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

    • Good interpersonal relations
    • Be able to adhere to timetables and deadlines
