An LLB degree. 5 years’ postgraduate legal experience .Sound knowledge of the law .An understanding of Batho Pele principles .Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations and PFMA .Knowledge of and experience in Public Service legislation .Computer literacy .Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) .Accuracy and attention to detail .Problem-solving, report-writing and time management skills .The ability to make presentations .Good interpersonal and inter-cultural relations .The ability to liaise with senior officials .The ability to draft contracts or any other legal instruments. A valid driver’s licence.

DUTIES :
Provide legal opinion in respect of the mandate of the Department. Coordinate the implementation of new legislation with provincial stakeholders. Draft legal documentation and reports for and give advice to Senior Management on a variety of legal matters. Respond to petitions, representations and complaints from civil society and other Government departments.
