Legal & Compliance Officer at KSB

EDUCATION: LLB Degree or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Completed articles and 2 years Commercial experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer Literacy-Essential
• Self-motivated and professional
• Analytical and numeracy skills
• Good communication skills
• Concern for confidentiality
• Ability to work under pressure
• Provide Legal Services to the company and group companies in SSA
• Provide assistance and advise in the drafting of contracts
• Perform company secretarial duties and ensure that all statutory requirements are complied with
• Draft company resolutions when required
• Provide guidance on the submission of tenders to avoid conflict of interest situations
• Liaise with the company's external lawyers where necessary
• Provide guidance regarding legislation affecting the company
• Review current contracts and amend where necessary
• Be the lead and ensure compliance with the POPI Act as information officer
• Ensure compliance with KSB Group policies
• Provide compliance and contract training to employees
• Comply with and enforce all KSB Pumps & Valves (Pty) Ltd policies and procedures, as well as carry your duties in a manner which conforms to current Health and Safety legislation, upholding KSB Pumps and Valves (Pty) Ltd Health and Safety Policy
• Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
• Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required
