Provide accurate and timely legal advice on all legal matters affecting the business; Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions; Assess legal and reputational risk
Negotiate, draft and review a variety of commercial contracts
Compile a database on legal templates and manage the updating of templates; Implement a contract management Programme
Supervise all MIOSA complaints, compile statistics, draft responses to MIOSA complaints; Proactively engage the relevant case managers at MIOSA, the NCC, the CCMA and MIBCO
Supervise letters of demand and responses thereto, checking pleadings, monitor legal spend on external counsel
Endeavour to secure the release of impounded vehicles
Keep abreast of all relevant legislation relating to the automotive and related industry,
Support the FIC compliance team; Formulate and implement policy
