Librarian/ICT Support at Rustenburg Girls'​ High School

Description    

• Rustenburg Girls’ High School is looking to employ a full-time Librarian/ICT Support person.  This post is available imediately. 
• Only short-listed candidates will be contacted and invited to an interview and will be taken on a tour of the school and expected to teach a lesson.  We reserve the right not to fill the posts.

Duties and Responsibilities    
 This full-time time support position (10:00 to 18:00 Mon - Thurs, 10:00 to 16:00 Fri) includes the following:

• Effectively and efficiently managing the school’s Media Centre.
• Continuous development and management of the media collection, both physical and digital.
• Lead and train a team of learner Media Monitresses.
• Teach Media Literacy lessons to Grade 8 Learners.
• Provide after-school homework facilities for learners staying late on campus. 
• Assist the ICT department by providing first-line support (iPad, Apple OS and/or Google suite) to learners at breaks and after school.

Minimum Requirements    

• Library-related qualifications and/or experience is essential
• Organisational skills, especially data management within Excel is essential.
• Experience in a school environment will be a distinct advantage
• Skill and experience working with iPads, Apple OS and/or Google suite would be an advantage. 
• SACE registration would be an advantage.
