Life Valuations Actuarial Team Manager at AES Africa

The Role

We are currently supporting a leading financial services company, who seek to employ a Life Valuations Actuarial Team Manager to join them in Johannesburg. Our client is a renowned group, and is offering a great remuneration package inclusive of benefits. As the Life Valuations Actuarial Team Manager, your main responsibility will be the focus on life valuations and all actuarial duties that come with the role.

Responsibilities include:

• Embedded Value and Value of New Business calculations
• Assumption setting
• Actual vs expected investigations
• Production / reporting of annual and quarterly reserving and solvency results

Requirements:

• 4-6 years Life Valuations experience
• Nearly/newly qualified Actuary (must have F102 exam)
• ORSA / IFRS 17 - would be advantageous
• Management experience
• IFRS/SAM experience
• Prophet, SQL and Excel exposure
