Line Operator - Multi Green (Pty) Ltd, Villiers at VKB Group

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in operating a mixer.
• Must have a valid forklift and / or Front-end loader license.
• The applicant should be in a good physical condition, an independent worker, self-motivated, able to work under pressure and without supervision.
• Position requires willingness to work long hours, incl. weekends where requested.
• Be a team leader and motivate co-workers
• Be willing to learn new skills.
• Be willing to work on different shifts.
• Be willing to work overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and quality packaging material is used for products.
• Ensure the proper binding and closing of product bags.
• Ensure the correct product sticker is applied to the product bags.
• Follow the correct packing, stacking, and rapping process.
• Ensure pallets are of good quality and maintained.
• Ensure product quality by regularly checking for irregularities like dust, lumps, foreign materials etc.
• Operating the mixers within the guidelines.
• Maintain the mixers and machinery in good order and report faults to the relevant department.
• Operate equipment and carry out all duties in a safe manner.
• Be prepared to carry out all legal instructions including but not limited to - gardening, painting, cleaning etc. assigned to them.
• Helping with and leading cleaning schedule of department and other areas on site.
• Assisting at mixing plants or other areas/departments when needed.
• Ensuring product quality by not wasting products on the ground and driving over it.
• Minimising “samestellings”.
• Reporting problems to the supervisor.
• Ensure all work is carried according to SHEQ and company standards.
• Ensure equipment safety procedures are followed to avoid damage to machine components.
• Maintain equipment, protective clothing and work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
• Any other duties as may be required by management.
