    Liquor Support Manager - East London - Wholesale

    Summary:

    • To coordinate all Liquor sales and activities of the regions Liquor store units for the LSM and wholesale market in a management capacity overseeing the store overall operational activities inclusive of sales, people management, customer service. 

    FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Management of Store
    • Assist with the management of the Liquor Store 
    • Assist with implementing Liquor strategy in line with company strategy and identify growth plans for the stores region
    • Ensure all policies adhere to (health and safety, Receiving, Dispatch, Cash ups) 
    • Be pro-active in shrinkage control, damages, obsolete stock and returns
    • Daily stock take control
    • Knowledge and implementation of Liquor registration
    • Financial Management
    • Assist with the planning, organization and achievements of financial targets i.e. sales, margins and shrinkage.
    • People Management
    • Leadership and management of people and processes
    • Establish and maintain effective customer and staff relationships
    • Negotiation skills with customers and suppliers
    • Merchandising
    • Maintain Merchandising and housekeeping standards 
    • Categories management, ranging and margin mix of stock levels
    • Marketing 
    • Co-ordinate promotion activities 
    • Managing and analysis on market developments and competitor behaviors and plans
    • Administration
    • Co-ordinate promotion activities 
    • Managing and analysis on market developments and competitor behaviors and plans
    • Sales
    • Management of sales, Margins and Obsolete stock

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

    • BCom degree or relevant degree.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a retail/wholesale store operations management / business management role
    • Computer literacy (Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Excellent business acumen with strong financial understanding
    • Understanding of Retail and wholesale environment
    • Proven sales record
