    Senior Manager II: Solution architect

    Summary

    • This role is responsible for designing and/or modifying system architecture to meet specific business needs. For this purpose, the role will be required to gather requirements and functional specifications, assess current products/systems in place, identify gaps and rework product/solution-specific architecture to mitigate the identified gaps.

    Technical Expert level III – Training Awareness and Communication Manager

    Summary

    • The incumbent is required to develop learning and awareness programs to cultivate a culture of cybersecurity within Massmart. The incumbent will promote awareness of security issues and communicate security principles among management and stakeholders.

    Responsibilities 

    • Delivering the annual cyber security and awareness training by planning, and scheduling events and activities, executing phishing campaigns and follow-up activities, sending out cyber security related communications, articles and, and other activities as assigned
    • Drafts and implements an annual cybersecurity training and awareness plan.
    • Continuously assesses and understands the employee’s and end user’s susceptibility to cyber threats in relation to the human factor of information security to serve as requirements to the ongoing security awareness and education activities and initiatives
    • Leads a multi-channel security awareness program involving key stakeholders throughout the organization, including business and corporate function representatives, to understand risks, business objectives, and policy requirements.
    • Leads the creation and procurement of awareness deliverables and learning content, leveraging various channels for effective delivery and develops metrics to measure the usage of the content and its effectiveness.
    • Drafts all internal cybersecurity communications and related programme materials using internal branding, such as newsletters, emails and other internal channels for the purpose of communicating cybersecurity awareness and training information.
    • Executes periodic phishing tests, creating the appropriate reports to show the trends and, while performing any additional follow-up activities accordingly.
    • Incorporates security awareness into internal virtual learning programmes, including new hire orientation, new manager training, and other events.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience delivering enterprise-wide content communications, training and/or content management role within Cybersecurity.
    • Training as evidenced by possession of Undergraduate Degree or equivalent training and education, from recognized institution in Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other related field, years of experience will be considered.
    • Knowledge of the concepts of cyber security risks and the different elements that make up risk.
    • Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
    • Knowledge of phishing and cybersecurity training
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity terminologies such as threats, vulnerabilities phishing, malware, etc

    Senior Manager II: Senior Counsel Labour & Employment

    Summary:

    •  The successful candidate will provide support to the Assistant General Counsel and VP Group Employee Relations and Employment Law by providing integrated employment law and/or labour solutions and services as a COE and shared service to the Massmart Retail/Wholesale Division and Legal Department; by providing advice and thought leadership to key business stakeholders relating to employment and ER legal risks and matters; to manage employment / labour related disputes and litigation (managing external counsel where applicable); lead team of Massmart Retail/Wholesale Division employment specialists and Employment Law Specialists; assist in formulation and tactical implementation of Group Employment, Labour and Industrial Relations Legal strategy within the Massmart Retail/Wholesale Division.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Massmart Divisional business objectives
    • Provide labour & employment legal support to divisional area
    • Serve as trusted business advisor to senior leadership within divisional area
    • Support business partners and key stakeholders to achieve strategic transactional and operational needs by providing integrated and high quality thought leadership within the Employment, Labour and Employee Relations space

    • Serve as Divisional (and where required Group) primary point of contact for employment law; labour and ER matters, including leading the management of external counsel, employment litigation matters, lead review and management of CCMA, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court and Constitutional Court matters; Develop and build effective collaborative relationships with key divisional stakeholders in order to effectively manage ER litigation. Represent the Division in respect to high risk CCMA litigation.
    • Ensure Divisional (and where appropriate Group) business leaders, People Team, ER Teams and compliance subject matter experts are kept abreast of changing employment & labour legislation.
    • Provide labour, employment and ER legal advice to Divisions to reduce legal and commercial risk, including where appropriate the drafting of all employment related legal artefacts, employment contracts, agreements, opinions, drafting and reviewing employment-related agreements, policies, separation agreements, collective agreements, charge sheets and advising on optimal People structures and project management of Group and/or Divisional Legal employment, labour and ER related projects including organisational restructures.
    • Advising on all aspects of collective labour law - industrial action, strike management protocols, collective agreements, collective bargaining and organizational rights disputes.

    • Contribute to the development of Group and Divisional Trade Union Strategy
    • Proactively track and report on all Divisional Trade Union activities, disputes and status within the workplace

    Job Requirements:

    • LLB degree, preferably post graduate; Admitted Attorney
    • 6 - 10+ years post articles experience in employee relations management in a highly unionized environment, deep litigation experience as a labour and employment attorney; strong drafting skills, particularly in employment contracting areas; working knowledge of legal and regulatory environment applicable to retailers; management experience; detailed knowledge of compliance and regulatory areas, particularly related to South African labour laws; significant experience managing employment-related litigation; experience working in Africa; ability to contribute to development and implementation of strategy

    • Pervious work experience with NIST, PCI DSS, OWAPS and ISO 27001/2 Frameworks
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science would be preferred

    Liquor Support Manager - East London - Wholesale

    Summary:

    • To coordinate all Liquor sales and activities of the regions Liquor store units for the LSM and wholesale market in a management capacity overseeing the store overall operational activities inclusive of sales, people management, customer service. 

    FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
