Job Description

An established firm in the Online Finance Industry, focusing on providing Short Term Loans. Working with the latest Fintech in a growing team which offers room for growth in your career.

We are looking for a loan officer to evaluate, authorize approval or deny loan applications. You will act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and you will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.

You will be involved in New Applications, Re-applications from existing clients and following up on clients. There is a need for being extremely organized as it is a fast paced industry which will test you daily.

Skills and Expertise Requirement

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor in Commerce (Bcom); or Graduate with a Financial Background
• Strong Communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a mind for numbers
• Strong Excel skills, MS Office
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment
• Ability to work in a goal orientated environment
• We require a professional who is looking to learn and grow, willing to work hard and be rewarded with gaining extensive knowledge in the Finance industry.

Job Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

•         Evaluating credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits.
•         Analysing a client’s income and expenses, evaluating bank statements and determining the relevant risk of the client.
•         Evaluating a client’s credit and financial history.
•         Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
•         Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them
•         Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines

Further responsibilities will be given on the job, once established and have gathered an initial understanding of the business.
